Repeating Fajr Salah

Question:

Assalamualykum say Fajr finishes at 7:15am..I started the fard prayer at 7:11am…while I was in the prayer maybe at Tashahud time, the time ended. Do I have to repeat the salaat after the sun rise?

Answer:

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

If the time for Fajr ends before the completion of the Fajr Salah, the Fajr Salah stands invalid.[1] The Fajr Salah must be repeated after sunrise.

Note: This ruling is applicable only to the Fajr Salah. The remaining prayers do not have to be repeated if their respective timings terminate before the completion of the Salah.[2]

And Allah Ta’āla Knows Best
